I had the honor of meeting Mr. Michael Medved last night at a speech he gave in Deerfield, IL. His topic was "The Assault on Parenthood" and he adressed the need for families and parents to re-claim the values and principles that they collectively believe in to prevent outside influences from undermining all that they hold dear.
Specifically, he encouraged parents (who happen to be religious) to encourage their children to embrace their own faith. In his most recent USA Today column, Medved tackles the issue of just how much of an impact faith should have on the culture, and how much culture should be allowed to impact people's faith.
